For those interested in the natural wine movement and want to have an intimate moment with tasty food near Tomigaya, Ahiru Store is your choice. Owner Teruhiko Saito, his sister Wakako, and the staff are always super sweet and kind enough to give you a generous introduction to their rotating wine selection so you can choose something according to your taste.
The menu is casual bistro, in-house produced, the taste is excellent, and the prices are quite reasonable. My personal favourites are the octopus and avocado salad, the paté, and the olive-oil ice cream. The bread basket is also a must, and you can get it for take-out as well. I’m afraid might have a serious affair with their focaccia.
Because this place is so popular, you might have to make a line to get a table inside. They don’t accept reservations after 6:30 PM so you may want to arrive quite early. I recommend going on weekdays as Saturdays tend to be the most crowded days.
